Though Christmas in Los Angeles is a thing of beauty, our temperate weather gives us the “polar opposite” (wink, wink) of a white Christmas.
While many of us are unencumbered by the season affective disorder (S.A.D.) that goes hand-in-hand with the riding off-season, we can appreciate the efforts of the daring few who take their motorcycles out in the snow.
This video, shared by Red Bull, features Arūnas “Aras” Gibieža drifting through the Baltic snow aboard a Kawasaki Ninja 636.
Getting the footage wasn’t easy. The crew had to follow Aras around in -12 degree Celsius weather through broken ice and frigid water. Aras himself got wet but kept drifting at around 40-60 mph through the snow and ice.
How’s that for some harsh winter escapism?
